Chandler asked me if I could provide closed captions on her films for her mother who is hearing impaired. I realized right then, that MINIMIST could be doing way more to be more inclusive. I decided right then to start a new initiative to add closed captions for all of my films moving forward and to slowly start to add captions to older projects. It is important that filmmakers consider who they are shutting out by the way they produce work. I want all folks to have the same opportunity to cry in public while watching my films.
